Buenas Tardes
A day arrived when I stayed close to home and wandered the five blocks surrounding my Colonial neighborhood, Atascadero. It’s high enough from el centro to have clear, cool air and a view of the surrounding mountains. It also has gorgeous homes with doors that drive speculation.
The landscaping is a tease for what’s behind the doors and on the roofs that one never has the privelege of seeing.
Below is the home across the street from me. Last night I heard wonderful Spanish music and thought it was my host with his stereo turned up….unlikely but possible. I glanced out my rear window and saw a party going on. The entire garden was lit magnificently, a multitude of round tables were covered with red clothes and candles. Music was welcoming guests being dropped by taxi at the gate. How delightful to look down and imagine the night’s festivities. Alas! Half hour later, thundered clouds rolled in and the first downpour I’ve seen in five weeks blew over the party, silenced the music and dropped the temps by 20 degrees. My heart sank for the hosts who had clearly invested a lot in the evening. I wish I could have gotten a better photo but…
Issues as you have seen with WordPress today so I will get this off before it pre-posts inadvertently again.
Blessings all.
