These were taken yesterday from the top of a 20-25′ lava cliff in my side yard. How I wish I could include the sound! Thumping, crashing, exploding. It made me tremble and the house shimmy.
All the ice crystals you see are from the spray that roars up the side of the cliff and blows over the scrub turning it into a phalanx of lacy soldiers. Here’s a little slide show.
The following are taken in front of my home and on the other (beach) side. The photos do not do justice.
Tomorrow you will see the amazing discoveries I made today resulting from the rough water. I am still feeling dazzled. Thanks for stopping.

Yup, they woke me at night thumping their hollow sound against the cliff and then rolling over the rocks. It was great. Thx.
